Twenty Twenty (One)

Twenty twenty.

Thank God 2020 is over. Twenty twenty will be one of the legendary years. Perhaps in the previous year, none of us would predict what would happen in 2020. The world suddenly changed significantly, just like that.

I would say it was the year of losing. So many things we lost. Many people lost their jobs. Many people lost opportunities. Many people lost their mental health. Many people even lost their simple reasons to smile. And the worst is, many people lost their lives and lives of people they love.

But after all, if you're still here today, congratulations. You just survived 2020. It's such an achievement. For me, 2020 wasn't really the year to achieve more or set higher goals. It was simply the year to survive, to feel enough, and to be grateful and appreciate what you have. It was the year that life taught us to be stronger, to accept the uncontrollable, to prepare for the worst yet still be hopeful and faithful for the best.

Twenty twenty one.

Now we're in another year. Still, the mess is not gone yet. We all might still be traumatized by the loss and deep pain we experienced last year, but as we all know good things can come to an end, so can bad things.

With every losing, there are rooms for healing and restoration. We may not know exactly what, how, or when, but we know this too will pass. We know days can still be brighter. We can get used to what we can't change. We can find reasons to smile and enjoy life again. Even when everything is ruined, we can still get up and manage to collect all the broken pieces. We can still rebuild it one by one.

Just don't lose hope. Keep our eyes on the bright side. Things may not go back normally overnight, but we've been through the worst. Hopefully things will just keep getting better from here. Never give up to see better days.

Take your time to heal. Take your time to accept the unacceptable. That's hard, but never lose your faith and hope. We're all in this together. We will see the brighter days again, together.

Love Languages

Valentine's day is coming soon, and it's the day of love. I think it's a great idea to share something related to love: Love Languages . Have you heard about it before? It's not my idea. It's Gary Chapman's, but I'm excited to share it with you! I've shared it with people around me all this time, making sure they know about this amazing idea. And the exciting thing about love languages is, it's applicable not only for your life partner, but also for everyone around you, including your parents, friends, coullages, and every single one you know. I once wrote, " Life is always about love, but love is not about him or her all the time. " So don't worry, whatever your status is right now, it can be fun for you too! Let's explore about love! Okay. What's love languages? Basically there are five love languages, and one person has one dominant love language. The fun is in finding out the dominant love language in people you care ab

Change the Perspective

One of people who inspire me the most is Nick Vujicic . I believe many of you know about this man. If you don't, well, he's a man with no arms and no legs. Although he has this disability, he still lives his life to the fullest. He swims. He surfs. He married. He does whatever he wants. Even he inspires many people around the world with great stories about his amazing life. Isn't he really a huge inspiration? I'm sure you know what I'm gonna write here. Many things we can learn from him, like being thankful, enjoying life, creating your happiness, or living the life you want no matter what the circumstance is. But I want to talk about his great life from a little bit different thing. He inspired me in one thing when I read his book. If there's one thing I can learn from him, it's that you can't always change your problems, but you can always change the way you see it . You can't always change your problems, but you can always chang

Remy and His Passion

This is the second post of Disney Lessons on my blog, and this time I'm gonna talk about that little mouse from Ratatouille . Yup, Remy ! For you who don't watch this movie, Ratatouille is a Disney movie about a little mouse, Remy, who's expert in cooking, and he secretly helps a chef named Linguini who can't cook at all. For some people who watch it, maybe this movie is funny because it's about a mouse that helps a chef to cook just by hiding in the chef's hat and controlling what he does with his hair. But this movie becomes very inspirational when you see it from this mouse's perspective. His name is Remy. His passion is in cooking. The most inspiring thing about Remy is, nobody supports him to cook. Everybody disagrees with him, even his father really hates him for doing that. But, it's about passion. His heart is in cooking. But then, back to the fact again: he's a mouse! How to be a chef when you're a mouse? By the way, I like how
