New year, new color

Hey, guys. It’s been a while. It’s almost 3 months I didn’t write anything here, and that also means this is my first post in 2015. I hope it’s not too late to say happy New Year to everyone of you! January almost ends. Wow! Feels like only yesterday we celebrated the new year. How time flies so fast.

How is it so far? I believe some of you are still in the spirit of optimism: “This year is my year. It’s the new me. I will be someone better, and I will finish my goal this year.” But maybe some of you feel desperate and depressed: “I don’t think this year will be better than last year. Last year luck was on my side, and it seems that won’t happen again this year.” Actually it’s not only about new year. People just like to do that whenever they can; comparing the past, present, and future. “Oh the old good days are gone!” or “Can I bring back all the good memories? It was so perfect.” Sounds familiar? How’s about something like this: “Can I just leave it all behind and start a new beginning?” or “If only I had another chance, I would respond to it differently and now it wouldn’t be this hard.

Every year has its own color. It doesn’t matter whether the color is black, white, or even grey. You just have to put the right color at the right place, and it will be beautiful art.

Well, I don’t know about what you’ve been going through, and I don’t care whether this year will be better or worse than 2014. It’s not about comparing between this year and last year, or last year and two years ago. The thing is, every year can be special if you know how to live it right. Every year is a new season with new moments, and every year has its own color. It doesn’t matter whether the color is black, white, or even grey. You just have to put the right color at the right place, and it will be a beautiful art.

My years are not always perfect. It is never perfect. However, I always learn something from every year.

There’s a year when many good things come to your way. Of course you’re grateful for that. But maybe there’s a year when a lot of bad things happen. I believe that’s the year for us to learn and grow, and we should still be grateful for that. There’s a year when you feel lost because something you love is gone? That’s the precious year to learn how to be stronger. See, every year is awesome if you want to see it differently!

Life itself is a process and a journey. All the good and bad things that happen in your life can work together for good, to make you who you are today, to give you great memories and lessons from every happiness and sadness you experience.

Without all of them, you are not who you are today. And don’t feel bad for who you are today. You are special and valuable, no matter who you are, what your life background is, and what you’ve been through. You just need to know how to paint your life with whatever color life gives you. You still have chance make a great masterpiece of your life, because the best artist is not the one who has all colors to make his art beautiful. The best artist is the one who knows how to combine the colors he has beautifully, even when all he has are only black and white.

Change the Perspective

One of people who inspire me the most is Nick Vujicic . I believe many of you know about this man. If you don't, well, he's a man with no arms and no legs. Although he has this disability, he still lives his life to the fullest. He swims. He surfs. He married. He does whatever he wants. Even he inspires many people around the world with great stories about his amazing life. Isn't he really a huge inspiration? I'm sure you know what I'm gonna write here. Many things we can learn from him, like being thankful, enjoying life, creating your happiness, or living the life you want no matter what the circumstance is. But I want to talk about his great life from a little bit different thing. He inspired me in one thing when I read his book. If there's one thing I can learn from him, it's that you can't always change your problems, but you can always change the way you see it . You can't always change your problems, but you can always chang

Remy and His Passion

This is the second post of Disney Lessons on my blog, and this time I'm gonna talk about that little mouse from Ratatouille . Yup, Remy ! For you who don't watch this movie, Ratatouille is a Disney movie about a little mouse, Remy, who's expert in cooking, and he secretly helps a chef named Linguini who can't cook at all. For some people who watch it, maybe this movie is funny because it's about a mouse that helps a chef to cook just by hiding in the chef's hat and controlling what he does with his hair. But this movie becomes very inspirational when you see it from this mouse's perspective. His name is Remy. His passion is in cooking. The most inspiring thing about Remy is, nobody supports him to cook. Everybody disagrees with him, even his father really hates him for doing that. But, it's about passion. His heart is in cooking. But then, back to the fact again: he's a mouse! How to be a chef when you're a mouse? By the way, I like how
