Look to God, not Yourself

Few days ago, suddenly I was moved to post this topic on this blog, and a perfect title came to me. Look to God, not yourself. This title really represents what I want to share with you right now.

Some friends of mine, who are also following my Twitter, told me that I tweet a lot about God. Yeah, maybe it's true. I told them my reason, "Because God has the biggest role in my life. I can talk about my life, my problems, myself, but all of them are nothing if there's no God behind it. There are many things in my life that I really can't do alone. Even when I've done my best, I still can't. I need God. Only God can help me and make it work."

God is the key of everything in my life. Without God, I'm just an imperfect and weak man. Life is too challenging, I can't even handle it with my own strength and ability. I am not able. That's why I really need to look to God. The only reason I stand still now is because I look to God.

There are many things in life that can bring you down. Maybe it's someone who disappoints you, problems you can't handle, financial problems, or just relationship distraction you never expect. Whatever it is, it's like there are always those problems that make life so complicated, and it always makes you frustrated like you can't handle it anymore.

I once tried to let everything depend on myself. I did the best I can do, I gave my all, trying to keep being positive, but yes, it didn't work. The more I tried it, the more I realized I really couldn't. I was just a hopeless man who couldn't make it. Does it mean I'm weak? Yes, I am. Does it mean I'm a loser? Yes, I am.

But everything changes when I look to God. It's not about you. It's not about your self-efforts. It's about Him. It's about His love and what He has done for you. Don't look to yourself, you know you're imperfect. However, you can look to God and ask Him to help you. Will God help you? Of course! He'll surely help you if you really trust Him to work the best for you, because He loves you no matter who you are. He will provide everything you need, and it's free! Once you look to God, everything seems easy. Trust in Him. Rely on Him. You can just rest in Him and receive all the blessings He gives to you.

Life is too hard when you try to do everything by yourself without involving God in it.

You may be weak, but you can be strong with God. You may be a loser, but can be a winner with God. All you have to do is simple: stop depending on yourself and start relying on God.

Change the Perspective

One of people who inspire me the most is Nick Vujicic . I believe many of you know about this man. If you don't, well, he's a man with no arms and no legs. Although he has this disability, he still lives his life to the fullest. He swims. He surfs. He married. He does whatever he wants. Even he inspires many people around the world with great stories about his amazing life. Isn't he really a huge inspiration? I'm sure you know what I'm gonna write here. Many things we can learn from him, like being thankful, enjoying life, creating your happiness, or living the life you want no matter what the circumstance is. But I want to talk about his great life from a little bit different thing. He inspired me in one thing when I read his book. If there's one thing I can learn from him, it's that you can't always change your problems, but you can always change the way you see it . You can't always change your problems, but you can always chang

Remy and His Passion

This is the second post of Disney Lessons on my blog, and this time I'm gonna talk about that little mouse from Ratatouille . Yup, Remy ! For you who don't watch this movie, Ratatouille is a Disney movie about a little mouse, Remy, who's expert in cooking, and he secretly helps a chef named Linguini who can't cook at all. For some people who watch it, maybe this movie is funny because it's about a mouse that helps a chef to cook just by hiding in the chef's hat and controlling what he does with his hair. But this movie becomes very inspirational when you see it from this mouse's perspective. His name is Remy. His passion is in cooking. The most inspiring thing about Remy is, nobody supports him to cook. Everybody disagrees with him, even his father really hates him for doing that. But, it's about passion. His heart is in cooking. But then, back to the fact again: he's a mouse! How to be a chef when you're a mouse? By the way, I like how
